IEEE Delhi Section-HTC group has joined hands with UNDP, World Bank, IIT Roorkee Alumni Association and Wave Cinemas in organising an awareness drive for "Save Energy-Save Earth". One of United Nation's Millennium Goals is "Ensure Environmental Sustainability". We intend to play a significant role in this direction. On the occasion of World Environment Week, we plan to organise the following event:

Day/ Date: Sunday, 7^th June 2009

Venue: Various locations in Delhi.

1. The lead volunteers of the event will run the event in particular area. Already we have lead volunteers for Rohini, South Extension and Lodi Estate

2. The volunteers will go to various societies through RWAs and make a brief presentation on how to conserve energy, what is global warming and what can be done to save mother earth by conserving energy.

3. The event will also run some posters on the subject , to convey the message.

4. A set of stickers will be handed over to audience where tips on energy saving will be there.

5. Volunteers will get certificates from UNV-UNDP

The audience will be common citizens.
