Dear Colleagues In continuation to our previous venture in organizing first and second interdisciplinary conference MATEIT 2006 and MATEIT-2008, we are organizing Second National Conference on Mathematical Techniques: Emerging Paradigms for Electronics and IT Industries (MATEIT-2008) to be held in Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College , University of Delhi , New Delhi , India from January 30-31, 2010. Brief History of MATEIT National Conference (Sponsored By UGC, Govt. of India) - 2006 We organized First national conference on "Mathematical Techniques: Emerging Paradigms for Electronics and IT Industries (MATEIT-2006)" which was sponsored by UGC. Govt. of India was organized in March, 2006. Professor Rajiva Karandikar Head, Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), New Delhi gave a key note address on "Opportunities for students with quantative skills in the next decade". Prof. B. Jayaram, Coordinator – Supercomputing Facility for Bioinformatics & Computational Biology, IIT-Delhi gave an inaugural talk on Bioinformatics for Better Medicine: Challenges & Opportunities. The conference was a great success as 18 interdisciplinary invited talks on related scope of the conference and 59 research papers were presented. National Conferences (Sponsored By UGC, Govt. of India) - 2008 In continuation to MATEIT-2006, three days Second National Conference – MATEIT-2008 (sponsored by UGC. Govt. of India) was organized at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, University of Delhi. There were 26 invited talk and 67 technical research papers covering various field of Mathematics, Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Physics. On an average 150 delegates attended the conference daily. Professor Dinesh Singh, Director-University of Delhi South Campus and Patron of FiDAS addressed the gathering during the Inaugural function of the conference. The conference started with Keynote address by Professor Sayed I Ahson, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Patna University followed by an Invited Talk by Professor Parvin Sinclair, Pro-Vice Chancellor, IGNOU, New Delhi. | MATEIT-2008 | MATEIT-2006 | States | No of Participants | No. Of Participants | Andhra Pradesh | 2 | 3 | Arunachal Pradesh | 3 | --- | Assam | 4 | 1 | Chhatisgarh | 5 | 1 | Delhi | 25 | 28 | Haryana | 8 | 4 | Jammu Kashmir | 1 | --- | Jharkhand | 4 | 8 | Karnatka | 4 | 2 | Madhya Pradesh | 6 | 2 | Maharashtra | 2 | --- | Orissa | 1 | --- | Punjab | 4 | 2 | Rajasthan | 3 | 3 | Tamil Nadu | 2 | 10 | U.P | 8 | 6 | Uttaranchal | 5 | 6 | West Bengal | 6 | --- | Total | 93 | 76 | MATEIT-2010 is organized by Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College , University of Delhi and sponsored by University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India .
